The engine has peculiar smell during operation
Solution: after the vehicle is used for a period of time, some rubber seals are aging, and the oil will leak from the seals and drip on the exhaust manifold. With the increase of the temperature of the exhaust manifold, the oil will evaporate in a short time, and the smell of oil burning will be sent out. Just replace the seal.
When the tail gas emits peculiar smell, the main reason is that the mixture is too thick. It is often necessary to consider the failure of oil circuit, exhaust pipe and muffler. Sometimes, the gas leaks due to the looseness of the joint between exhaust pipe and muffler. The comprehensive symptom is the abnormal sound of "BAM, BAM" around the muffler.
The peculiar smell caused by the instantaneous slip of the clutch plate is very unpleasant, which is mainly caused by the overload of the clutch plate.
Engine water temperature too high
Solution: engine overheating caused by insufficient cooling water. At this time, remember not to open the antifreeze bottle cover immediately. First, open the car to a ventilated and cool place. Then open the hood and wait for the cooling water temperature to drop. When you have to open it immediately, you can use a large towel soaked in water to cover the antifreeze pot cover, and try to open the pot cover slowly. When the steam comes out, leave your hands quickly. After the steam is completely dissipated, finally open the lid of the pot and add cooling water.
Water leakage can also cause the engine to overheat. Many small pipes are installed on the antifreeze pot, which may be caused by loose or damaged rubber pipes.
In case of emergency, wrap the damaged pipe with adhesive tape and drive after replenishing water.
Thermostat failure causes the engine to overheat. The thermostat is generally installed on the upper part of the engine. If the cooling water temperature cannot reach a certain temperature, water cannot be sent to the water tank. Therefore, due to the thermostat, the temperature reaches the reference temperature, and it is impossible to send water to the water tank, or the water supply is too small, resulting in overheating of the engine.
The engine cannot be started, or the engine does not run and the engine runs but does not work
Solution: you can make a preliminary judgment by listening to the sound of the car horn and lighting the headlights.
Phenomenon 1: if the horn is hoarse and the engine does not run, check the battery at this time.
When the electrode plate of ordinary battery is exposed or the color of the observation hole of maintenance free battery is not green, it can be concluded that the engine cannot be started due to insufficient battery power. When the power of ordinary storage battery is insufficient, distilled water or purified water can be used for emergency. If the maintenance free battery has insufficient power, you can only use the jumper method to ask the battery on other vehicles for help. At this time, be sure to pay attention to the cable of the engine with the vehicle. When borrowing the battery power of other vehicles, the positive pole of the battery is connected to the positive pole and the negative pole is connected to the negative pole. Note that the engine of the borrowed vehicle must be started first.
Phenomenon 2: the horn and headlights are normal, but the car will make a sound of "moo, moo". If the joint is clamped with pliers and turned slightly to the left and right, and the moving sound of "creak, creak" is sent out at the joint, it can be further determined that the joint is in poor contact. At this time, you can choose to clean the joint cylinder with sandpaper. When there is no sandpaper, you can clamp it with pliers and rotate it gently to clean the cylinder.
Phenomenon 3: if the horn is good and the engine is not running, consider whether the engine is powered on. If the engine itself fails, such as electromagnetic switch failure, the measures of removing the engine and replacing parts must be taken.
Tips: if the engine is not stuck, you can consider the method of starting with external force. Specific operation points: push the gear lever to the next high gear (such as the fourth gear model, use the third gear), step on the clutch pedal with the left foot, step on the accelerator pedal with the right foot, release the brake and turn on the engine switch.
